Message of Chairman

RAB Group was founded by my father late Alhaj Md Ruhul Amin with the inspiration and support of my uncle Alhaj Md. Shamsul Alam, in 1958 as Ruhul Amin & Brothers (RAB), as a Clearing & Forwarding Agent that rendered services in connection with the import and exports of goods & Logistic. Later by dint of their efficient management in 1972 Royal Steamship Company is added as a shipping Agent Company. Subsequently chain super stores named Wellmart is established as first in Chittagong & duly conquer the heart of customer creating a special brand. Under the dynamic leadership of my father & uncle our organization established a Stevedoring Company in Chittagong Port since 1972. Considering the demand of time RAB Group expanded its business towards real estate sector as a developer. From our first steps C & F, Shipping and Stevedoring (newly name Berth Operator), we have never strayed from the core values and principles instituted by Mr. Ruhul Amin which is building a reliable and solid enterprise with shipping & Stevedoring as its core business, and run in a way that reflects uncompromising standards of quality management and treating all our staff and customers as “family” and respecting them as our own family members.

Upon this spirit of “Family”, we have been able to build up a unique business philosophy and management platform that sets upon a foundation of institutionalization, professionalism and transparency rooted in the “Family” values of caring, credibility, honor, respect and trust. This deep-rooted foundation has enabled us to grow RAB’s core C & F, shipping agent and logistics, stevedoring  into many directions reflecting solid strategic growth in both business and management as well as in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR). I wish to express my special thanks and appreciation to our customers, shareholders, colleague, and various stakeholders for attaining these outstanding performances consistently from the very beginning.
